About the Journal

The number of research centers involved in developing assistive devices is actually increasing. There are special units and departments that specifically focus on assistive devices, offering MSc and PhD courses. Many researchers with various backgrounds are involved in research centers on assistive technology. Due to the wide range of research being done in this field, there is a need for a specific journal that covers all of these areas. This journal aims to bridge the gap between engineering and medical fields, specifically publishing papers on orthotics, prosthetics, biomechanics, rehabilitation technology, and medical devices.

JIAT welcomes contributions in this field in the form of original research articles, case reports, letter to the editor, and review articles. The Journal seeks to provide its readers with the highest quality scientific information published through a process of careful peer reviews and editorial comments. All publications are in English.
